4th of July
Grandpa and Grandma
We went to my parents house for a cookout this year. My brother Randy and his family and their friends from New Orleans came, my sister Lisa and her family and my sister Ronda. We had great food, great company and just a fun afternoon. The kids swam while we all visited. It was great to see my Mom feeling so well and to spend the day with all my family. That night we went to the movies and the girls saw "My Sisters Keeper" and the boys saw "Transformers 3" and when we came out of the theatre there were fireworks going off! Fun day!

Jacob turns 15!
Jacob and Gracie Ann

Jacob turned 15 on June 28th. It was on a Sunday and we just had a small (not so well planned) get together. Jacob had just gotten back from Scout Camp and my extended family was all out of town on their camping trip. We still had a great celebration of our son's birthday. We are so blessed to have him in our home. He is very energetic and keeps us all hopping. We are proud of him and the young man he is becoming. He serves in his Teachers Quorum Presidency and makes sure he fulfills his duties as a Teacher. He did very well in school this past year and is a very good athlete. He will be playing soccer for the high school team this next year along with pole vaulting.
Jacob's favorite cake is a frozen Pepperidge Farm Chocolate Cake (it's actually the only kind of cake he eats). Ashley decorated it with #candles 0,1,2,3,4,5 to equal 15 and then put regular small candles in the middle. It was really cute and he also was such a good sport to wear the BD hat that they brought. We also had grilled chicken and hot dogs (Jake's favorites).
