Problems Uploading Pictures?
Goodbye old friend....Hello to my new one!

Hello to my new one!

Everyone that knows me well, knows that I live by schedules, to do lists and planning everything out and it must be listed in my red Day Planner that goes with me everywhere. It is packed full of any and every info that I (or my family) need or might need. Well, my new PDA has changed all of that. I absolutely LOVE it. (now since I've figured out how to work it!!) Besides having my next 2 months schedule (that's all I've entered yet), appointments, b.d.'s, reminders, addresses, contacts, notes, etc. in it---my favorite part is--It has all 4 standard works of scriptures, R.S. manual, the hymns and primary songs, my music, all of my Word/Excel documents, business files, my digital scrapbooking files, photo files, ALL of my computer files, etc. (Thanks Scott for loading it all!) and another great part I like is that it has a QWERTY keyboard that makes texting so much easier......I just love it and it's much lighter in my purse than my Day Planner---although, I'm having a hard time letting go of it.....I'll get there!! Happy Monday everyone!

Things I take for Granted....
2. Being able to take a shower/bath--Morgan is having to sponge bathe these days--which she proudly managed by herself after her hair wash.
3. Being able to use both legs for walking or standing--Morgan is doing an AWESOME job with her walker and only being able to use one leg.
4. Mom's Right Hand Girl--Morgan helps me clean, cook, and doing any and all household chores that I ask her--(when she doesn't have a hurt knee).
5. Laundry--Morgan washing her own clothes--(when she doesn't have a hurt knee).
6. Taking Care of Herself--Morgan being able to get her own food, drink, etc. as needed--(when she doesn't have a hurt knee).
7. Not Being in Pain--Morgan has been in excruciating pain and I really feel for her.
8. SLEEPING for 6 hours or more Uninterrupted---the most we've gotten has been maybe 4 hrs. straight--it's a good thing I had my children in my 20's--I never would make it these days with a newborn!
These are things that I realize this past week that I really take for granted. Especially the Uninterrupted Sleep---I miss this the most and I am so grumpy and grouchy these days (just ask my hubby). Lesson Learned--not to take things for granted....especially a WONDERFUL Daughter that is such a huge help to her Mom. I love you Morgan and hope you recover quickly so you'll be out of pain!

14,610 Days Old
Today I am 14,610 days old, but who's counting anyway? Not me! that's for sure. I've been trying to let this day just slip on by...but some of my favorite people keep reminding me. So, Happy 40th Birthday to me! Jacob asked again--how does it feel to be over the hill Mom? and my answer to him and everyone is: It's an AWESOME view from the top!!Thursday, June 5, 2008
Home from Surgery
Morgan and her new Best Friend--the "Walker"
They took Morgan back for surgery around 130pm and she got out a little after 5pm. We had started to get a little concerned around 4pm when she hadn't come out of surgery to recovery yet since it was only supposed to be about a 2 hour surgery. When the Dr. talked to us around 530pm he told us there had been a little problem, but he was able to repair it another way . They had a little trouble with the allograft, it slipped back out of the thigh bone, so it had to be attached with screws to a post on each side of the knee, resulting in another incision on the outside of the knee. This will add a little more to the recovery time, but over-all the surgery was a success. Rebecca and her Mom came to visit, but Morgan had just come out of recovery and was still heavily sedated. She remembers seeing them, but couldn't remember much else. They brought her flowers and a Friendship Angel that is so precious. Morgan had to stay overnight and did pretty good. She was able to walk with the walker later in the night (as requested by her Dr.)--although she was in a good bit of pain. I think she (and I) only got about 3 hours of sleep. We had to wait on a walker to be delivered to the hospital before we could go home today(after lunch)--but it was worth the wait to have it to take home with us. She has been hurting a good bit tonight--most of the Femur Nerve Block has worn off now, so she is feeling much more of the pain. My sister Ronda and my sister Lisa and her family came out tonight to visit her. They brought her flowers and balloons and also flowers from Grandma and Grandpa (they will come up to see her this Saturday). She appreciated everyone coming over. She is finally sleeping tonight and I'm hoping she will sleep through the night. She will not be able to put any weight on her leg for at least one month and possibly two months depending on her recovery. She will start Physical Therapy next week going 3 times a week for the first month. I think overall she is doing as well as can be expected. It will just be a long road to a full recovery. Will keep everyone posted.
