Confessions of my Teen-Age Daughter...

Tonight at the end of our Christmas Day, we were all sitting around the kitchen table gabbing and my daughter Morgan told us that she and Jacob had opened some of their gifts and re-wrapped them (as she was taught by her Aunt Lisa~lolol) and confessed that after opening one gift that was a book, she read it in 3 hours then wrapped it back up! and when she opened it, she pretended to be all excited about this new book. I have to admit it gave us all a good laugh! What else could we do at this point? Next year we will have to get more creative with our gift wrapping~I'm thinking triple wrapping, taser wrapping or wrapping with alarm bells! We still haven't gotten the full story on Jacob's re-wrapping....Hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas as we have. I will be posting pictures as soon as we get my camera card fixed.

Cherie you have to do what we do around our home. We hide the gifts and do not put them under the tree until the day before. Our kids are to sneaky. So what book was it that she was excited about?

Hi you don't know me I saw your blog listed on someones blog roll and it caught my eye because my name is Cherie too! There are not that many people with our name around:)
I'm an LDS mom of 5 in Idaho.
I had to post here because I have had my share of teenagers. I finally started putting reindeer names on the packages so they wouldn't know which ones belonged to them. If all else fails...colored duct tape!! Wink wink

Hi Cherie! So cool to have another Cherie out there! Do you pronounce it as the fruit cherry? mine is pronounced that way. I've actually never met anyone else that spelled theirs the same way as mine and pronounced it the same way. Love your ideas about the reindeer names, will have to try it next year...thanks! And nice to meet you!

I know this post is old...but I have an idea. We give each of our kids a reindeer name. So we put their name on the gift and they don't know which reindeer they are until Christmas morning. But, it won't keep them form opening them anyway! ha
