Off to College She Goes.....

On our way to Orientation Day
(sorry about the rain spots)

Morgan has started her Freshmen year in college! I can't believe this time has already come for my oldest child......however she is only 17 (so I feel a wee bit younger....maybe! lol). She has been home-schooling since 8th grade and finished her high school program a year early and started at Middle GA College this fall. I'm also going to MGC (mostly online but one class on campus) and so far she doesn't seem to mind......she has even agreed to take College Algebra with me next semester so she can help her old Mom~she is an AWESOME daughter! Gotta Brag a little~well maybe a lot!!.....she scored really high on her Compass Tests~she scored 99 on Writing, Language and Grammar~however this was no surprise considering that she has scored in the 99th percentile (on the reading/writing/Language Arts parts) on all her standardized tests since 4th grade. This is definitely her strong point. We are so proud of her! She is majoring in English right now, but is debating on changing to a Philosophy or Law Degree. She is such a strong writer and loves Literature. She would love to go study abroad in England one semester and I hope she gets the opportunity to do that. She plans on going to BYU Provo next Fall. She is really enjoying college life and her classes. She stays very busy. Of course I love to see her so happy and having fun!! We love you Morgan and are so PROUD of the beautiful young lady you've become!!

On the way to the bookstore.....

after the bookstore.....lots and lots of books!

No MORE pics MOM!!

sorry JaeBell....I had to get one more on my cell phone camera:) love you!

what? i remember when she was a beehive!! way to go Morgan, smarty pants!!! good luck. Madelyn would love to hear that, b/c she loves to read and write and wants to be an author/illustrator (she also loves to draw)---very cool. We should let them be pen pals, Morgan can encourage her. Study abroad all the way...it's a great experience do it all while you're young!! have fun!

Morgan’s Father cannot take all the credit, while I taught Morgan how to read, count in English/ Spanish, and quizzed her on history at age 4, as I sing praises, for Morgan -- now schools me up.

Beautiful post! There is nothing like a mother/daughter relationship/friendship. And how fun to get to go to college together!
